The leader of the radical ethnic Albanian Self-determination Movement says protests Merdare and Bela Zemlja would be "peaceful, with roads free for traffic". The movement, whose members sit in the Kosovo assembly in Pristina, previously announced it would on Saturday block roads at the administrative line between Kosovo and central Serbia. "Peaceful protest without blocking roads" Late on Friday, Albin Kurti said he party would not block any roads and would not incite violence, "as they would only prevent the entry of trucks carrying Serbian goods into the Kosovo territory". Kurti told journalists that he himself would also be present at Merdare, announcing that about 200 Self-Determination activists would make sure that the protest go peacefully. The goal of the protest, according to the party, is to force the government in Pristina "to implement the parliament's decision on measures of reciprocity with Serbia in political, trade and economic relations". Late on Friday, Albin Kurti said he party would not block any roads and would not incite violence, "as they would only prevent the entry of trucks carrying Serbian goods into the Kosovo territory".

Kurti told journalists that he himself would also be present at Merdare, announcing that about 200 Self-Determination activists would make sure that the protest go peacefully.

The goal of the protest, according to the party, is to force the government in Priština "to implement the parliament's decision on measures of reciprocity with Serbia in political, trade and economic relations".
