Weapons were found stashed in Banja Luka's Borik sports arena, where a high-level gathering took place on Monday to mark 20 years since the founding of the RS. The media reports on Tuesday quoted a statement given by the Serb entity's Interior Ministry (MUP) spokesperson Mirna Soja. Taking into account the quantity and type of weapons found, if it had been used, it could have seriously jeopardize the participants and guests of the official celebration in view of RS's 20th anniversary, Soja stressed. The examination of certain objects is under way and a large number of persons are being questioned, Soja underlined. The spokesperson also stated that some 100 persons were hired to organize the ceremony. RS public broadcaster RTRS this morning interruptied regular program to report that the weapons found in Borik could have been used to carry out a terrorist attack, considering that there were more than a thousand guests attending the ceremony.
