At least 26 people were killed and 63 injured when a bomb went off in the Syrian capital of Damascus on Friday, Syrian Interior Minister Mohammad al-Shaar says. The blast apparently targeting police occurred at a busy crossroads in the Midan district in central Damascus shortly before the noon prayer, the Sana news agency has reported. This is the second terrorist attack to rock in Damascus in the past two weeks.
