The Afghan government on Wednesday backed peace talks between the Taliban and the U.S. which should result in opening of an office for the Taliban in Qatar.

The Afghan government on Wednesday backed peace talks between the Taliban and the U.S. which should result in opening of an office for the Taliban in Qatar. "Afghanistan, to save the country from war, conspiracies, the killing of innocent people and to reach peace, agrees with the negotiations between U.S. and Taliban that will end up in creating an office for the Taliban in Qatar," the Afghan government said in a statement.
