Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic and his deputy insisted on leaving most suspect in the swine flue vaccines case out of police's criminal complaint. This is according to an official note made by the Serbian police (MUP), that B92 TV's investigative program Insajder (Insider) has gained access to after its reporters insisted on seeing it for the past two months. "Prosecutor wanted suspects left out of vaccines case" The case in question is related to abuses of office and damage done to the state budget during the purchase of swine flu vaccines in 2009. The Insajder team has also learned that police inspector Zoran Radevic, who signed the note, has since been reassigned to "other duties". Radevic was replaced after B92 reported that the official note in question was indeed in MUP's records. In the mean time, the content of the note has also been revealed. In it, it is said that although police suspected that 14 persons were involved in the vaccine purchase irregularities, Organized Crime Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic and his deputy, Prosecutor Mirjana Ilic, insisted that most of them be left out of the criminal complaint. The document further states: "The prosecution insisted that our report, i.e., the criminal complaint, should be directed against the three persons named in their proposal. I stress that, during our oral consultations, we submitted to Prosecutor Miljko Radisavljevic our report with the scanned evidence in electronic form. We attempted to prove to the prosecution that we find it very difficult to leave people from the Ministry of Justice out for the said reason, because the whole story is being taken out of context, so we included 14 persons." The note also states that the prosecution suggested to the MUP to charge only three.
