Croat president appoints PM-designate
Croatia's President Ivo Josipović has appointed Kukuriku coalition and Social Democratic Party (SDP) leader Zoran Milanović the new PM-designate.

Croatia's President Ivo Josipovic has appointed Kukuriku coalition and Social Democratic Party (SDP) leader Zoran Milanovic the new PM-designate. Josipovic, who met with the coalition leaders on Wednesday, said that Milanovic had 30 days to present the new government and program. Croat president appoints PM-designate According to the PM-designate, “the mandate is a big responsibility and we have a lot of work to do in order to pull Croatia out of the crisis”. He explained that the only way out was economic growth, adding that confidence in the system needed to be restored. Aside from Milanovic, Croatian People's Party leader Radimir Cacic, Istrian Democratic Assembly leader Ivan Jakovcic and Croatian Party of Pensioners leader Silvano Hrelja also attended the meeting with the president. According to the final results, the Kukuriku coalition won 80 out of 151 seats in the Croatian parliament.
