Another attempt to hold a meeting of the Serbian Parliament Committee on Kosovo and Metohija failed in Belgrade on Tuesday. Committee members therefore decided to address Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, asking her to request that Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic ensured the presence of government representatives at the next meeting. Kosovo committee won't meet until Dec. 16 The government representatives were once again absent today. Committee Chairman Ljubomir Kragovic scheduled the next meeting for Friday, December 16. The committee, which has now postponed its meetings five times, is expected to discuss the report on the talks between Belgrade and Pristina held November 21 and 22. At the request of its opposition members, the committee decided to lodge a firm protest with the government and demand a written report on this round of talks with Pristina. Opposition MPs agreed that the absence of government representatives was "degrading to the parliament and the committee." (Beta, file)

Kosovo committee won't meet until Dec. 16

The government representatives were once again absent today.

Committee Chairman Ljubomir Kragović scheduled the next meeting for Friday, December 16.

The committee, which has now postponed its meetings five times, is expected to discuss the report on the talks between Belgrade and Priština held November 21 and 22.

At the request of its opposition members, the committee decided to lodge a firm protest with the government and demand a written report on this round of talks with Priština.

Opposition MPs agreed that the absence of government representatives was "degrading to the parliament and the committee."
