The Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings are still blocked, and local Serbs are taking turns in guarding the barricades. Night passes peacefully, Serbs remain at barricades The previous day in north Kosovo was peaceful apart from the sound of helicopters transporting KFOR officers and the wedding celebration of a local Serb family, which was relocated from their family home in the village of Lesak to the barricades near Jarinje, where the ceremony lasted for about 20 minutes. Since roadblocks have been set up on both sides of the Brnjak administrative crossing, EULEX and KFOR soldiers in control of the gate are forced to perform their usual change of personnel and delivery of food with helicopters, while vehicles are taking alternative roads. In the Saturday talks with Serbian Minister for Kosovo Goran Bogdanovic, the UNMIK acting head called for freedom of movement of members of KFOR and EULEX. Zarif underlined that the citizens should remain peaceful, avoid any provocations, and let KFOR and EULEX perform their duties. “I am really satisfied with Serbia's efforts to encourage citizens in north Kosovo. I called on Bogdanovic to promote such message even further and to urge people not to prevent KFOR and EULEX from performing their duties,” Zarif told journalists. The minister for Kosovo said after the meeting that he and Zarif had agreed that it was only through a dialogue and in a peaceful manner that the north Kosovo crisis could be resolved. “I sent a message to KFOR and EULEX that the situation is becoming unbearable and that their behavior is absolutely unacceptable for the Serbian community,” Bogdanovic stressed.
