UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon met with Kosovo officials that "Kosovo institutions should coordinate their activities with the international missions". Ban said they should "coordinate with KFOR and EULEX in establishing peace in north Kosovo" - according to a statement issued in Pristina. Ban Ki-moon meets with K. Ban "underlined that it is important to establish order and maintain stability in this part of Kosovo, and that open issues between Belgrade and Pristina should be resolved through a dialogue", said the release. According to the statement issued by Jahjaga's cabinet, "Ban stated that the Ahtisaari plan offers the best options for the Serbian community". The plan for Kosovo's supervised independence was drawn up by a former UN envoy, but was rejected by Serbia, and was never adopted by the UN Security Council. Jahjaga stated that the joint action of the Kosovo police, KFOR and EULEX to implement the agreement on customs stamps reached with Belgrade is a proof of the partnership between Kosovo and the international community. The Kosovo president stressed that she strongly opposes the division of Kosovo, and added that a special status for north Kosovo would constitute "a violation of the Ahtisaari plan, the constitution and other laws", and that thus it would "not contribute to integration but rather to separation". Jahjaga said that "Kosovo is committed to the continuation of the dialogue with Belgrade and the search for solutions to the issues of electricity, telecommunications and regional cooperation".
