EULEX Spokeswoman Irina Gudeljevic told Tanjug earlier on Thursday that the police were checking the road between Zubin Potok and the village of Zupce in the Kosovska Mitrovica region. “The investigation of the crime scene is related to the July 26 murder of a member of the Kosovo police special units. The road connecting Zubin Potok and Zupce will be temporarily closed until the operation ends,” she said. Serbs set up a roadblock on the same road just a kilometer away from the EULEX roadblock. At the same time, KFOR soldiers had their own roadblocks on the surrounding roads. Kosovska Mitrovica Mayot Krstimir Pantic told Tanjug earlier today the people acted on their own initiative when they set up the roadblocks. The situation in this part of Kosovo is quiet but tense.
