While awaiting the arrival of his guests at Viminacium today, Boris Tadic engaged in an informal exchange with reporters gathered for the UNESCO summit. The media crews wanted to know about his recent "exchange of words" with Croatian PM Jadranka Kosor, and asked whether his "pledge" to be her "best man" was still valid. Tadic reveals which Croat politician he'd "rather kiss" The reporters were referring to Tadic's statement made several months ago in Smederevo that he would "gladly be the best man at the wedding of Jadranka Kosor and (Slovenian Prime Minister Borut) Pahor". Tadic was at the time reacting to an April Fool's Day joke in the Croatian media, announcing that their premier was "getting married". Today, the Serbian president said this pledge was not broken, but - referring to Kosor's statement in support of Operation Storm generals convicted at the Hague Tribunal - added that he "did not like it when someone promoted war criminals." A Croat reporter then asked whether Tadic would kiss Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, "and would you also kiss Kosor?" "I won't be (kissing with) Jospovic, but I would always with Jadranka," the president answered jokingly, according to reports. Before the motorcade with his regional counterparts started arriving, Tadic also found time to remark that he would leave politics "one day", and specified this would happen "quietly, through the back door, and nobody will notice".
