Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will on Monday begin a working visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina. There, he will seek to win support for the Palestinian bid for UN membership, expected to take place in September. Palestinian leader seeks support in Bosnia Abbas will today meet with Chairman of the Bosnian Presidency Zeljko Komsic and its two other members Nebojsa Radmanovic and Bakir Izetbegovic. He is also expected to meet with Bosnian Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj. "This is a working visit focused on talks on the political situation in the Middle East, a part of the Palestinian leaders' efforts aimed at gaining UN membership," Khaled Al Atrash, the Palestinian ambassador to Bosnia, has said, according to AFP. Bosnia-Herzegovina is currently one of the 10 non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.

Abbas will today meet with Chairman of the Bosnian Presidency Željko Komšić and its two other members Nebojša Radmanović and Bakir Izetbegović.

He is also expected to meet with Bosnian Foreign Minister Sven Alkalaj.
