Palestinian leader seeks support in Bosnia

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will on Monday begin a working visit to Bosnia-Herzegovina. There, he will seek to win support for the Palestinian bid for UN membership, expected to take place in September. "This is a working visit focused on talks on the political situation in the Middle East, a part of the Palestinian leaders' efforts aimed at gaining UN membership," Khaled Al Atrash, the Palestinian ambassador to Bosnia, has said, according to AFP. Bosnia-Herzegovina is currently one of the 10 non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.
