Government approves food aid to Kosovo

The Serbian government on Monday directed the state commodity reserves directorate to deliver the needed food supplies, worth RSD 8,4mn. The supplies will be sent to the municipality of Leposavic in northern Kosovo. Government approves food aid to Kosovo The Ministry of Agriculture, Trade, Forestry and Water Management specified that the aid includes sugar, oil, flour and powdered milk, the basic foods needed by the Serbs in northern Kosovo. The minister for Kosovo had asked the directorate to provide 20,000 kilograms of sugar, the same amount of cooking oil, 30,000 kilograms of flour and 5,000 kilograms of powdered milk. The shortage in basic food supplies in northern Kosovo was caused by the shutting down of the Jarinje and Brnjak administrative crossings by the NATO-led force in the province, KFOR.
