Belgrade and Pristina’s agreement is not an agreement between two states, the Serbian Ministry for Kosovo has assessed. The agreement will have to be approved by the Serbian parliament. “Serbian government, parliament need to approve agreements” Ministry for Kosovo State Secretary Oliver Ivanovic said that Serbia did not transfer any jurisdiction to Kosovo. “Serbia is not making an agreement with so-called Republic of Kosovo, it's more of an agreement with the EU which serves as a mediator and someone that will monitor any reached agreement,“ Ivanovic stressed. During the fifth round of talks in Brussels on Saturday, Belgrade and Pristina reached the agreements on freedom of movement, birth registries and university diplomas. “Our negotiator will have to inform the government about it, probably parliament as well and public will also be informed. I don't think that anything that 'survives' those three levels can be considered to be a wrong move or something that betrays national interests,“ the state secretary explained.
