Serbian parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic has invited Council of Europe (CoE) Rapporteur Dick Marty to OSCE Parliamentary Assembly session in Belgrade. The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly session is due to be held in Belgrade on July 6-10. Speaker invites CoE rapporteur to OSCE meeting in Belgrade “I invited Mr. Marty to take part in the 20th Annual Session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly that will be taking place in Belgrade soon and particularly in a panel discussion on the fight against illegal trade in human organs,” Djukic-Dejanovic told Tanjug. On January 25, the CoE Parliamentary Assembly adopted Marty's report and resolution on human organ trafficking in Kosovo. The documents call for a relevant international investigation. In June this year, EULEX formed a task force to investigate the allegations about illegal trade in human organs in Kosovo contained in Marty's report, and Serbia demands that a mandate for such an independent body should be given by the UN Security Council.
