United Regions of Serbia (URS) leader Mladjan Dinkic says Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas played a key role in bringing closer the URS and the Democratic Party (DS). He said that the URS' initiative, which was signed by more than half a million people, deserved to get the attention from the coalition partners and that they had done the only logical thing – they supported the petition and the law on financing of local self-government. The URS leader stressed that decentralization's goal was to change the current centralistic system.
