The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) says it is against Prime Minister Mirko Cvetkovic's appointment as head of a coordination team in charge of EU accession. The opposition party also called on the government to put an end to the country's increasing indebtedness. “Prime minister can’t get Serbia into EU” SNS deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic told a news conference that Cvetkovic's appointment for the position is scandalous and that he was the man who had destroyed Serbia's economy. He assessed that Serbia could not be brought into the EU by those who had destroyed the economy, but by those who would raise it to its feet and build up factories and agricultural production, and called on the government to put an end to further indebtedness of the country.
