The tiny Pyrenean Principality of Andorra has recognized Kosovo as independent, Albanian language media in Pristina are reporting. According to Epoka Re newspaper, the confirmation of this was "sent to the Kosovo embassy in Brussels". Pristina media report new recognition Andorra spreads on 486 square kilometers and has a population of some 84,000 people. It is the 76th country to recognize the unilateral proclamation of independence made by Kosovo's ethnic Albanians in February 2008. The proclamation was rejected by Serbia as an illegal act of secession. 22 out of EU's 27 countries also recognize Kosovo as independent. Priština media report new recognition

The proclamation was rejected by Serbia as an illegal act of secession.

22 out of EU's 27 countries also recognize Kosovo as independent.
