Serbian Progressive Party deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic has criticized Boris Tadic’s claims that opposition does not have experience to finish EU integration. He said that Tadic was once again forgetting that he was not only a Democratic Party (DS) leader but also a Serbian president. We can get Serbia into EU, SNS claims “With his statements Tadic shows that he is not ready to hand over power even if the people want that and shows that he would do everything in his power to keep his chair. That’s a big threat to Serbia and one should put an end to it,” Vucic stressed. He explained that Tadic showed that he did not respect his institutions or his political opponents by presenting himself as the only person who could lead Serbia into the EU. According to the SNS deputy leader, Tadic is not acting like a Serbian president. “With its statements and Gestapo-like methods of letting only one truth exist, the regime is leading Serbia into a dictatorship,” he said. SRS officials made the allegations during a parliament debate on Tuesday. The SNS deputy leader has called on Interior Minister Ivica Dacic and the Serbian president to question him and arrest him if they can prove any connection beteen him and the riots. He pointed out that the accusation that he and the Serbian president's Chief of Staff Miodrag Rakic had organized the riots at the rally “is yet another monstrous lie”.

He explained that Tadić showed that he did not respect his institutions or his political opponents by presenting himself as the only person who could lead Serbia into the EU.

According to the SNS deputy leader, Tadić is not acting like a Serbian president.

SNS deputy leader denies Radicals’ accusation

Vučić has denied Serb Radical Party (SRS) allegations that he is one of the organizers of riots during the Radicals’ rally in support of Hague indictee Ratko Mladić. SRS officials made the allegations during a parliament debate on Tuesday.
