Situation in the municipality of Ljig, which was flooded last night after a heavy rainfall, has improved, Serbian police has said. The Ljig River water level is dropping as well, the release reads. Situation in storm-hit town improves A state of emergency has been declared in Ljig. About 40 houses and 100 other buildings and 1,500 hectares of arable land have been flooded. Fire and rescue units from Ljig, Mionica and Valjevo are pumping the water out of the flooded buildings. Ljig-Cacak road was cleared during the night and traffic has returned to normal. Some local roads have been damaged by the last night’s storm. Authorities have announced that electricity and water supply will return to normal during the day. Serbian police Emergency Situation Sector is monitoring the situation in the field. The extent of damage caused by the storm will be assessed today, it is said in the release.

Ljig-Čačak road was cleared during the night and traffic has returned to normal. Some local roads have been damaged by the last night’s storm.
