Republic of Srpska (RS) President Milorad Dodik has said that Ratko Mladic's arrest represents fulfillment of international obligations from the Dayton Accords. Dodik pointed out that all the countries of the region had assumed those obligations. Dodik says Mladic arrest "fulfills Dayton obligations" “The RS institutions never defended or will defend anybody who committed war crimes, regardless of their ethnicity or religion,“ he explained. The RS president's cabinet announced that Mladic's arrest would not affect peace and stability in the RS “which has been leading an international fight in the past several days that all those who have committed the crimes should be held responsible“. “I express hope that Ratko Mladic will have a fair trial guaranteed by all human rights conventions,“ Dodik pointed out. He also expressed hope that General Atif Dudakovic, Naser Oric and other high political officials and Bosnia-Herzegovina Army officers would soon be brought to justice because, as he said, that would mean that Bosnia-Herzegovina has a chance to build necessary trust based on truth.
