Court postpones decision on extremist group

The Serbian Constitutional Court did not rule on Thursday on the motion of the state prosecutor to ban neo-Nazi organization Nacionalni Stroj. Despite the extensive discussion, it was agreed that it is necessary to discuss some important facts to decide in this case, the Court said in a release. Court postpones decision on extremist group The discussion was closed to the public and will be continued at one of the next sessions of the Court. A proposal to ban the group was filed on October 14, 2008, by the former Chief Prosecutor of Serbia Slobodan Radovanovic. He said at the time that the National Front was acting as secret political organization that uses its influence to provoke ethnic and religious hatred prohibited by the Constitution of Serbia.

The discussion was closed to the public and will be continued at one of the next sessions of the Court.
