The first-instance Hague judgment of against former Croatian generals Ante Gotovina and Mladen Markac will not destabilize the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina. This is according to High Representative in Bosnia Valentin Inzko, who spoke for Slovenia's POP TV. War crimes ruling "will not destabilize Bosnia" The two former generals were found guilty of committing war crimes against Serbs in Croatia in 1995. "Many believe that a small spark is enough to ignite everything in Bosnia," Inzko assessed in a statement quoted by Croatian media, pointing out that his opinion is different, and that he is certain that the Hague verdict against the Croatian generals will not be that spark. "The situation is Bosnia is not good and political debates are the last thing the country needs right now," Inzko said, and added that Bosnia needs investments and progress instead of political arguments. He said that Croats "will be resentful because they feel the international community is against them, which is not true".
