Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Tomislav Nikolic has assessed that parliamentary elections will be held on December 18. He added that the government would make a decision on Saturday when the SNS rally would be held. Opposition leader: Elections in December Nikolic pointed out that he could not talk about the SNS’ offer since it was crucial for many people, adding that the participants of the opposition rally on April 16 would not try to take over institutions. “I cannot imagine a person who would remain silent before an offer that we will make on Saturday. I cannot say what it is about, because they will hear Serbian President and DS (Democratic Party) leader Boris Tadic,“ the SNS leader told B92. He said that the rally would certainly end on Saturday, but that it would last somewhat longer than planned since many people wanted to speak at the gathering. “I’m not sure yet whether there will be a walk – so far it will be. Security is guaranteed to everybody. We will sit in the street and they will say ‘yes’. There are many people who fight for their country and their people like Gandhi. The government will be cornered and it will say ‘yes’,” Nikolic pointed out. He added that he had no contacts with Tadic and that he did not expect any before the rally.
