EULEX Chief Xavier Bout de Marnhac said on Friday that the mission had four priorities in Kosovo. He explained that the first priority referred to Fatmir Ljimaj, who has been charged with war crimes committed in the village of Klecka during the armed conflicts in Kosovo, while the second one had to do with the presence of EULEX in northern Kosovo. EULEX chief on mission priorities “EULEX should be present at all times in northern Kosovo, and we have to do a lot more, and in a more efficient way, so as to counter organized crime and protect security,” Marnhac told his associates at the meeting. According to the EULEX chief, the third burning issue in Kosovo is that of the initiation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, while the fourth problem is embodied in the report on human organ trafficking authored by Council of Europe Rapporteur Dick Marty, Pristina electronic media reported. He called on his associates to cooperate fully but said that he could not guarantee to EULEX employees how long they would remain the mission's officials, noting that EULEX mandate was due to expire in June 2012.
