"Cooperation with Hague very important"

Council for Cooperation with the Hague President Rasim Ljajic and U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Stephen Rapp met on Wednesday in Belgrade. They agreed that arresting war crimes indictees is very important for the process of facing up to the past, rule of law and reconciliation in the regon. "Cooperation with Hague very important" Ljajic briefed Rapp on Serbia's activities and endeavors in cooperation with Hague. They pointed to the importance of surrender of indictees Ratko Mladic and Goran Hadzic who are still at large, the National Council for Cooperation with Hague said in a release. Ljajic and Rapp also discussed investigation into Council of Europe rapportreur Dick Marty's claims of human organ trafficking in Kosovo. Rapp emphasized that the US believes that a detailed and independent investigation must be carried out as soon as possible in order to find out the whole truth, and that cooperation with all relevant institutions is needed to that end.
