LDP: Koštunica not above law

Neither the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) nor Vojislav Kostunica can be above the law, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) leader Cedomir Jovanovic said. According to him, this is why this moment is so important and the authorities should not make any concessions. “He is exactly counting on this kind of permissiveness, knowing that he has several times before, with the same behavior, gotten out and saved himself from the judicial truth and legal proceeding in which the truth would have been determined and responsibility we have been pointing to for years,” the LDP leader stated. He added that the process of Serbia’s destruction had started with the JSO mutiny in November 2001 and that it was finished by the assassins on March 12, 2003, who created conditions for Kostunica and his associated to take over power only several months later.
