Opposition SNS deputy leader Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday that a government reshuffle "would mean nothing for Serbian citizens". Addressing reporters in Belgrade, Vucic asserted that "only new elections can bring improvement". Opposition party dismisses "cosmetic changes" He reiterated his party's position that the government "has no solution for the accumulated problems in the country and that the state is on the verge of bankruptcy and economic catastrophe". It is against this backdrop that the government "quarrels over who will steer the sinking ship", said Vucic. "The story that the government could be taken over by (Dragan) Sutanovac, (Dragan) Djilas, or any of them, would mean that the government collapsed because of incompetenece," said he. The SNS officials also told repeters that he believed President Boris Tadic, and ministers Mladjan Dinkic and Ivica Dacic, had nothing to offer to the citizens. "It's all cosmetic, and about buying time in order to avoid elections or delay them for the end of the year or early next year, but for the citizens, that would mean more misery, and that is somehting that they, and not only opposition parties, will fight against," believes Vucic. Vucic also announced that on Monday, he would accompany SNS party leader Tomislav Nikolic at a meeting with an EU delegation headed by the European Commission's Deputy Director General for Enlargement Stefano Sannino, and that an SNS delegation will visit Brussels in March. He reiterated his party's position that the government "has no solution for the accumulated problems in the country and that the state is on the verge of bankruptcy and economic catastrophe".
