81 percent of EU integration plan fulfilled

Report on the implementation of the amended National Program for Serbia’s EU Integration (NPI) shows that the country fulfilled 81 percent of the program.

Report on the implementation of the amended National Program for Serbia’s EU Integration (NPI) shows that the country fulfilled 81 percent of the program. In the period from July 2008 to September 2010, Serbia fulfilled 74 percent of the NPI as a whole, since it adopted 549 of the planned 742 regulations, the government's EU Integration Office stated in a release. 81 percent of EU integration plan fulfilled Out of the planned 191, the country adopted 155 laws, or 81 percent, while 394 bylaws or 72 percent of the planned 551 bylaws were adopted in the said period. When it comes to the report for the period from October to December 2010, the country adopted 95 of the planned 117 regulations. The Serbian parliament adopted 12 laws envisaged by the NPI, while the government completed 33 obligations taken over from the previous quarters and fulfilled 3 more in advance. Best results in performing the tasks envisaged in the NPI were recorded with the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ministry, Environment and Spatial Planning Ministry, Labor and Social Policy Ministry, Finance Ministry, Economy and Regional Development Ministry and the Serbian Chemicals Agency. Ministries and special agencies that had to stand the greatest pressure included the Finance Ministry, Environment and Spatial Planning Ministry, Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ministry and the Economy and Regional Development Ministry, the release states.
