The Serbian government and the international community have reached an agreement on new Serbian license plates containing first letters of Kosovo towns. Serbia will be issuing both old and new license plates for Kosovo until the issue is solved in the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, B92 has learned. Agreement on license plates reached According to B92 sources from the Serbian Ministry for Kosovo, representatives of the international community, Serbian Interior Ministry and Ministry for Kosovo have reached the agreement. Pristina-based daily Zeri has reported that, according to the agreement, Serbia will stop issuing new license plates and Kosovo police (KPS) will not seize the plates that have already been issued. According to the daily’s sources, the Serbian government informed the international institutions in Kosovo that it has so far issued 186 new license plates with the inscribed first letters of Kosovo towns and that it will not issue any more license plates for residents of Kosovo. It also requested from the KPS not to seize the plates that have already been issued, especially in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
