Eight persons were arrested on suspicion of involvement in an organized auto theft ring in Sarajevo, East Sarajevo (in the Serb republic), and Herzegovina.

Eight persons were arrested on suspicion of involvement in an organized auto theft ring in Sarajevo, East Sarajevo (in the Serb republic), and Herzegovina. Police dubbed their operation Kum (Godfather), the local media reported on Tuesday evening. Eight arrested for auto theft The operation was carried out by the members of the Interior Ministry of the Sarajevo Canton and public security centers of East Sarajevo and Trebinje, at the order of the RS Special Prosecutor's Office and the Sarajevo Canton Prosecution. Policemen searched houses in several locations and seized a number of cell phones, laptops and other items which can be linked to the organized crime network.
