Members of the European Parliament today in Strasbourg voted in favor of approving the ratification of the SAA signed between Serbia and the EU. The voting was originally scheduled for Tuesday, but was postponed for technical reasons. MEPs approve ratification of Serbia's SAA The vote ended with 612 votes in favor and 38 against. MEPs also adopted a resolution on the process of Serbia's EU integration, that says Belgrade must resolve the issues of judicial reform, fight corruption, continue full cooperation with the Hague Tribunal and achieve results in the upcoming dialogue with Pristina. FM Vuk Jeremic told B92 late on Tuesday that he expected that the ratification at the EP would influence other EU members who have not done so to follow suit. Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic, who took part in the debate yesterday, said it was most positive to date when it comes to Serbia, and that he expected considerable support during the voting. (FoNet, file)
