Serbia: CoE should adopt recommendations

Serbia will request the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to adopt recommendations regarding Dick Marty's report, says Rasim Ljajic. Ljajic, head of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, told B92 that those recommendations would oblige the EU ministers to help the investigation. Serbia: CoE should adopt recommendations “The result of the visit in Strasbourg, what we’re asking is that recommendations themselves are adopted too and not just the resolution so the resolution would be operative,” he explained and added that the resolution was not insignificant. “The resolution itself is not completely insignificant, but in order for it to be operative it is necessary to adopt the recommendations as well,” Ljajic pointed out. “The recommendations will oblige the CoE Committee of Ministers to provide all necessary help in the investigations which will be conducted,” he concluded.
