Albanian Flag Day marked in south Serbia Kamberi told the press that the date would be celebrated by the Albanian National Council in the future and that it was not the case this year because of different positions of coalition partners. He explained that the holiday was celebrated by the Albanians around the world and said he did not see anything bad in putting up the Albanian flag next to the Serbian state flag at the Bujanovac town hall. Musliu stressed that today’s holiday meant a lot to the Albanians and that it was completely normal for them to fight for their rights wherever they lived. Albanian flags have also been displayed in Bujanovac municipality of Veliko Trnovo and villages of Dobrosin and Konculj and in several villages in the municipality of Presevo. The celebrations went without any incidents. Councilors of Riza Halimi's Party of Democratic Action, Democratic Union of Albanians and Presevo Municipal Assembly Speaker Skender Destani did not attend the celebration at the Presevo town hall. It is assumed that this is a result of political conflicts with Presevo Municipal President Ragmi Mustafa of the Albanian Democratic Party. Celebration of the Albanian Flag Day (FoNet, file)
