The South Eastern Europe Simulation 2010 (SEESIM) staff command exercise was held in Belgrade on Sunday. The main goal of the exercise was to enable the activation of national emergency centers and provide mechanisms for checking their abilities to respond to emergency situations based on defined crisis situation plans. SEESIM 2010 exercise held in Belgrade The exercise, staged at the Guard House of the VS Topcider barracks, was attended by representatives of several Serbian ministries and organizations, accredited foreign military envoys in Serbia and embassy delegates. SEESIM exercise is staged once in two years within the Southeast Europe Defense Ministerial cooperation process (SEDM). SEESIM, which lasts from October 17-26, gathers participants from 13 SEDM member states, the US, as well as international organizations engaged in assistance in emergency situations.
