Members of a Su NATO parliamentary assembly sub-committe on Saturday visited Serbian Army BAse Jug (South) near Bujanovac. The Department for Public Relations of the Serbian Defense Ministry said in a statement today that they were accompanied by Serbian MPs. NATO officials visit VS base in south The officials were welcomed by Serbian State Secretary Dusan Spasojevic, Deputy Army Commander Brigadier General Vidoje Zivkovic and Deputy Brigade Commander Colonel Zoran Lubura. The officials made a tour of the base, its training grounds and residential premises. The base commander, Lieutenant-Colonel Bozidar Pejic, presented the guests with the base's main goals and tasks, which are of great significance for the securing of the Corridor 10 highway and maintaining stability in southern Serbia. The NATO officials particularly expressed interest in the capacities of the base's training grounds, the role and position of women within the unit and relations with the local population, the statement reads.
