Report: Hashim Thaci could resign

Hashim Thaci could resign as prime minister of the Kosovo government in Pristina, said Albanian language media today. Daily Koha Ditore writes that Thaci allegedly decided to resign because of the announced way in which the postal service and the telecommunications company in Kosovo will be privatized. According to these reports, if this scenario plays out, early elections could be held "withing 45 days". The same sources said Thaci met with ambassadors of the so-called Quint today, and speculate that early elections were the subject of the meeting. Also on Thursday in Pristina, Thaci's deputy Hajredin Kuci denied the reports.
