Opposition DSS leader Vojislav Kostunica said on Wednesday that the Serb Progressive Party (SNS) has obviously accepted the ruling coalition's policy. That policy relates to the "no alternative to EU membership" approach, he explained. "SNS has accepted no alternative to EU" "We tried to convince SNS that that a road without an alternative is a dead alley that will lead us to ruin. Only weak states that have no will of their own can follow a policy that has no alternative," Kostunica said in a statement made available to Tanjug. Kostunica said that there is an alternative to the EU and that the goal of DSS is to build a country with a strong economy, independent of foreign centers of power. "DSS pushes forth on its own third path, convinced that only consistent state-building policy and cooperation with all countries on an equal footing can bring stable development and economic recovery," the DSS leader noted.
