A 30-year-old ethnic Albanian yesterday caused an incident in the Citizens' Ombudsman office in the southern town of Presevo. He physically assaulted two employees and destroyed office furniture and equipment, including two laptop computers, said reports. Incident in ombudsman's office in south The man is said to be mentally unstable and has been hospitalized. Once out of the hospital, he will likely face criminal charges. One of the office's employees who were attacked is also an ethnic Albanian, identified as Ekim Ajdini. The attacker shouted, "What are you doing here?", and, "Why are you working with Serbs?" during the incident. He also shouted offenses and insults in broken Serbian aimed at other employees, and the state. Today, the Deputy Ombudsman Goran Basic was in Presevo. The institution's offices in the south, covering the ethnically mixed municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja, started work on June 28 this year.
