There were no organic traces in the soil sampled taken from a suspected mass grave site near the town of Raska, B92 has learned unofficially. The location was investigated on suspicion that it contained the remains of Kosovo Albanians killed during the 1999 war. No mass grave found near town But the results of the forensic examination were negative, a source said, adding that a new sample might now be taken, "since there is suspicion that it was dug in the wrong place the first time". The Higher Court in Belgrade said it had sent the results of the tests to the War Crimes Prosecution, but did not give any more details. The prosecution confirmed that it had received the results of the analysis, but did not wish to reveal them. However, the prosecution said it would continue its investigation into the possibility that the location is a mass grave. Beta news agency reports that the tests were completed on Aug. 5, and the prosecution received them the next day. The soil samples were taken in front of a building of the Kosmet-Put company, at the Rudnica-Majdan locale, Raska municipality. Another source close to the investigation confirmed for Beta that the test results were negative, but questioned the site where the samples were taken. Another source claimed the existence of clues that the mass grave was under the building, subsequently constructed at that site, whence samples were not taken. In May an announcement was made of suspicions that the remains of around 250 Kosovo Albanians were buried there.
