Border police arrested four persons suspected of trying to smuggle cigarettes across the border with Romania. The suspects had in their possession 39 boxes with a total of 1,900 cartons of cigarettes with Serbian excise stamps on them. More smuggling arrests made at border Marko P. (41), Jovan K. (22), Jovan M. (35) and Igor M. (22) are the suspected smugglers, who are believed to be part of an organized crime group. The action was carried out with the help of Romanian police, based on a trilateral agreement for improving cooperation in the fight against organized crime that Serbia signed with Romania and Bulgaria.
