Despite the central bank intervention and a one-day recovery on Thursday, the Serbian dinar (RSD) has weakened against the euro again on Friday. The dinar lost 0.25 percent of its value today, thus setting the official middle exchange rate at a new historic record low of RSD 106.2256 for one euro. New historic low for Serbian currency The central bank sold EUR 20mn at the interbank foreign exchange market on Thursday to ease excessive daily volatility of the dinar exchange rate. Since the beginning of 2010, the NBS sold a total of EUR 1.647bn, inclusive of yesterday's intervention.
