There would be no collective vacation for state institutions, with government officials continuing to work while the parliament rests. MPs of the parliament would be on vacation during August, while the government would continue to work. Electricity renovations are also planned for August in the parliament, which would leave it without electricity for most of August as well. If a session is demanded by the government, the old parliamentary building would be used, Parliamentary Secretary Veljko Odalovic said. However, the government would be working throughout August. “The government will not take a collective vacation. Ministers will take breaks individually, but they will be replaced by their deputies and state secretaries, so that meeting could be held. A government meeting could be cancelled if at any point it is seen that there are not enough government officials present to hold a meeting,” chief of the government’s information service Milivoje Mihailovic said.
