EULEX drops charges against Serb leader

President of the Serb National Council of Kosovo and Metohija (SNV) Milan Ivanovic says the EULEX prosecution dropped charges against him for several offenses. Ivanovic told reporters that EULEX had suspected him of organizing, supporting and involvement in terrorist groups, inciting ethnic and religious hatred and intolerance, endangering UN personnel, calling for resistance and involvement in crowds violating the law. EULEX drops charges against Serb leader EULEX had charged Ivanovic for his speech at a rally in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on February 10, 2009, and he was questioned in 2009 regarding the burning down of administrative line crossings at the Jarinje and Brnjak following the unilateral declaration of Kosovo's independence in February 2008. Commenting on announcements that the court in northern Kosovska Mitrovica would reopen in mid-July, Ivanovic said that this might lead to a wider destabilization of political and security situation in Kosovo.

EULEX drops charges against Serb leader

EULEX had charged Ivanovic for his speech at a rally in northern Kosovska Mitrovica on February 10, 2009, and he was questioned in 2009 regarding the burning down of administrative line crossings at the Jarinje and Brnjak following the unilateral declaration of Kosovo's independence in February 2008.

Commenting on announcements that the court in northern Kosovska Mitrovica would reopen in mid-July, Ivanović said that this might lead to a wider destabilization of political and security situation in Kosovo.
