Members of special police units of Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Bulgaria performed a joint exercise on Thursday. The officers worked according to a hostage rescue scenario as they staged the drill at the Serbian police (MUP) special units training center in Kula, northern Serbia. MUP special units, regional counterparts in drill 47 members of special units took part in the exercise that came at the end of a two-week joint training under the direction of French special units Reaction, Assistance, Intervention Dissauder (RAID) instructors. The exercise was attended by representatives of embassies in Belgrade. Assistant Director of the Serbian Police Sasa Mitrovic thanked the RAID instructors and French embassy in Belgrade for the help in the training of members of the domestic and regional special units. Mitrovic stressed that this type of training has been organized since 2006, adding that the MUP center in Kula had become one of the best regional locations for the training of special units.
