Teen kills friend after Facebook row
A 17 year-old from a town north of Belgrade killed another teenager over a dispute and threats made on the Facebook social networking website.

A 17 year-old from a town north of Belgrade killed another teenager over a dispute and threats made on the Facebook social networking website. According to reports from the town of Pancevo, the youth who was murdered, Dejan S., had friends who accused friends of the assailant Bojan J. of steeling their sneakers. Teen kills friend after Facebook row The sneakers were returned, after which Dejan wrote a message on Facebook stating “Are you guys still stealing sneakers, didn’t three slaps to the face teach you a lesson?” Dejan S. was killed in the presence of two of his friends and two friends of the arrested Bojan J. The attacker stabbed Dejan with a knife first in the hand and then twice in the chest, after which he cut him on the face as well. A source close to the investigation states that “Bojan fled on a motorcycle with one friend and his other friend stayed there with the fatally wounded Dejan and his friends.” According to sources, Bojan claimed that Dejan had the knife, but that he took it away from while wrestling him. Police however refuted the claim after further investigation, stating that it was impossible for Dejan to sustain such injuries in that manner. Local sources said that Bojan dropped out of school after the fourth grade and comes from a very poor family that could not even afford to have an internet connection installed at home. He was known to police as a local juvenile delinquent.
