Regional countries' cooperation regarding the preparation of documents for EU accession is first-class, Deputy PM Bozidar Djelic has stated. Djelic, who is in charge of European integrations in the current Serbian cabinet, said he believed that cooperation with the countries of the region on the road to the EU was excellent. Deputy PM praises regional cooperation Chief of the EU Delegation to Belgrade Vincent Degert who attended the same meeting said that it was very important that the language used in the preparation of the documents was simple and efficient. Djelic was also quoted as saying that that Montenegro had just answered the EC questionnaire and that Serbia would use the document. “We've been working on this issue for two years now, translation, adjustments and editing of 25,000 pages are almost finished,“ he pointed out. “Government of the Republic of Serbia, recognizing the importance of the issue, adopted a conclusion in April 2010, a month ago, with which we established an institutional framework for coordination of the translation process of the EU heritage and this way we've officially launched the entire national project of preparing a version of the EU legal heritage,“ the deputy PM explained. Degert said that unity of the EU lies on unique rules and their implementation and that language has a great importance in the process. Montenegrin European Integrations Minister Gordana Djurovic who also attended the meeting in Belgrade assessed positively previous cooperation between Serbia and Montenegro on the road to the EU. “What we have so far succeeded is about 5,000 regulations, what's also important as a basis is that we have translated more than 300 Montenegrin legal acts into English while answering the (EC) questionnaire, which is very important to us for the future bilateral screening, from the Constitution, Criminal Code, the Criminal Procedure Code, to all important system laws,“ she was quoted as saying. Serbia was also relying on the experience of iCroatia regarding the translations. Chief of the EU Delegation to Belgrade Vincent Degert who attended the same meeting said that it was very important that the language used in the preparation of the documents was simple and efficient.

Đelić was also quoted as saying that that Montenegro had just answered the EC questionnaire and that Serbia would use the document.

“We've been working on this issue for two years now, translation, adjustments and editing of 25,000 pages are almost finished,“ he pointed out.
