Serbian President Boris Tadic has received new threats via the social networking website Facebook. The threat “recognize Kosovo or your family will die” was posted from a Facebook profile under the name “Recognize Kosovo". President receives new threats online In late April, a group was formed on the website addressing Tadic, stating that “your tinted Mercedes will not help you, because when you open the door, a sniper will be waiting.” There were close to 200 people who joined the group. State institutions announced a serious inquiry into the threats, and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic said that the U.S. Justice Department would be involved in the investigations, adding that it would be able to provided needed information from the Facebook company. The president's cabinet today did not wish to comment on the threats, noting only that Tadic does not have a Facebook account.
