Justice Minister Snežana Malović has rejected accusations made by a former Presidency official about evidence of corruption in the justice system reform.

Justice Minister Snezana Malovic has rejected accusations made by a former Presidency official about evidence of corruption in the justice system reform. "As a member of the High Judicial Council, I can affirm that these allegations are false and spurred by political motives of (Vladimir) Cvijan's new party," Malovic told reporters. The minister said she was not surprised by newspaper claims that a CD which allegedly contains the evidence “is making the rounds in Serbia”, because the High Judicial Council delivered the CD to every petitioner. The CD did not appear "out of nowhere, but came from the High Judicial Council," said the minister and explained that it contain reports on the work of judges. “This is a deliberate misdirection - Cvijan is talking about an audio recording, when in fact it is a CD which contains reports on the work of judges,” Malovic said and added that reform must not be politically motivated. Cvijan, who recently joined the Serbian Progressive Party, accused High Judicial Council President Nata Mesarovic and Malovic of belonging to "the justice system mafia".
