Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak has begun his two-day visit to Kosovo on Thursday. He will meet with representatives of the Kosovo Albanian government there, as well as international officials. Slovak FM in trip to Pristina Lajcak's visit to Pristina is a part of Slovakia's actions in the Western Balkans, the region which is among the priorities of the country's foreign policy, the Slovak agency TASR reported. Prior to his departure, Lajcak said that Slovakia's position regarding the unilateral declaration of independence is defined in Slovak parliament's resolution, which condemns it. "At the same time, we want to resolve practical issues of improving the lives of ordinary people," Lajcak, whose country is one of five EU members who have not recognized the UDI, underscored. Lajcak will have meetings with UNMIK chief Lamberto Zannier, EU Special Representative Pieter Feith, KFOR and EULEX commanders and local representatives.

Lajčak's visit to Priština is a part of Slovakia's actions in the Western Balkans, the region which is among the priorities of the country's foreign policy, the Slovak agency TASR reported.
